Alright – you guys are here for some Super Bowl game picks, so let’s not waste any time.

Herbie Brooks

As much as I hate to admit this, I think the Patriots run away with this one. Bill Belichick will come up with a defense that will give Jared Goff nightmares and Tom Brady is out to prove he’s the best athlete of all time in any sport. The “age has definitely caught up to him” comment from Nickell Robey-Coleman put the nail in the coffin for the Rams. Brady will be out for blood.

I wrote a full breakdown of the game here, but boiled down, I’d say this is going to be a big James White game, and he gets the Super Bowl MVP award he deserved two years ago. The Pats are going to neutralize the Rams run game and make Goff beat ’em, and I just don’t see that happening. The Pats get the final drive thanks to A+ clock management and tempo control, and Brady drives ’em down the field to go ahead and take the win 37-34.

Unless it’s the NFC East you don’t bet against Brady in the Super Bowl.

I like the Patriots in this matchup. Sure, the Rams are just loaded with talent, but we all know who the Patriots are. Brady said that he’s “the Baddest Motherfu**** on this planet,” and I completely agree with that. He is a bad bad man . I would have considered picking the Rams until Robey-Coleman came out and said that Brady has lost a step. That’s never a good decision. Goff is a great quarterback and will be for years to come, but Belichick has had time to pick apart what he can do and any weaknesses will be exploited. The Patriots always come back better from a loss, and last year’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles will only make them stronger in this game. My pick is Patriots 35-31

“Nature Boy” Brandon Vick

Without question, I’m rooting for the Rams all the way. Just like the rest of the world, I don’t want to see the Patriots win again. The Pats are one of the greatest, but it’s time for these St. Louis young guns to shatter Tom and Bill’s deep love affair with the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It could look a lot like last year when the Eagles did it. Plus, what a great sendoff it would be for Jeff Fisher who came so close back in 1999.

(Editor’s note: oh God, do we tell him that the Rams aren’t actually in Saint Louis anymore? should we tell him Fisher isn’t their coach anymore?)
