Earaches, we’ve all been there. Some more than others. Most of us as young children. I myself had an ear infection a few years back. Nothing major. Couple antibiotics and off I went.
Well then comes China….
I always feel like there is a certain sense of pride in China. Like how weird can we get? They usually like to overachieve in this category. This article is no different. For you daring individuals, there is also a video.
A 17-year-old girl in China has reportedly had a live cockroach pulled out of her ear canal after going to the hospital to treat pain in her ear.
The young patient experienced discomfort after waking up from her sleep last Wednesday. Doctors said the insect could have crawled into her ear during her sleep before getting stuck.
It is thought that cockroaches crawl into people’s ears in search of food.
That’s it folks, the stuff nightmares are made of. One night you’re sleeping. Next morning you have an “earache.” Next thing you know, you have a large cockroach being pulled out of your head.
I will now sleep with a winter hat protecting my ears for a couple of nights.
The only thing more disgusting is going to be the follow up story where she goes back complaining of more pain only to find the original roach implanted dozens of eggs in her brain. You heard it here, first…
The only good thing for China is I bet the cockroach is some weird delicacy so she probably was bringing that one home for dinner….
