Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.
Question:
Let’s say the Jabroni Hall Of Fame exist. What 5 wrestlers are in your initial class?
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) February 28, 2019
Mine: Barry Horowitz, the Mulkey Bros, the Gambler, Italian Stallion and Iron Mike Sharpe.
Answer:
The FIRST name that came to mind was Horowitz…hell, let’s name the damn Jabroni Hall of Fame AFTER Horowitz. Then, I default to the Brooklyn Brawler. I completely forgot about The Gambler, but hot damn – I loved him. I would definitely include Duane Gill – that run as ‘Gillberg’ was some of the funniest shit I’ve seen in a wrestling ring. Finally, yeah – we HAVE to put in Iron Mike Sharpe, don’t we? I mean, the guy was pretty much the gold standard when it came to enhancement talent. Plus, he had a hell of a run, didn’t he? Didn’t he start in the early 80s with WWF and last all the way through the mid 90s??
Question:
If all the SoBros were to make a king cake and had to pick something besides the little baby inside, what would that little something be? I’d probably put a little @ArmondoWKRN #Bromando in mine. pic.twitter.com/N0OPQaNeTH
— WKRN Brent Remadna (@RemadnaWKRN) February 28, 2019
Answer:
I love the idea of a King Cake Bromondo. If we’re talking on-brand for SoBros Network, let’s face it – it’s probably a bottle. Like, a bottle of booze. Not a baby bottle. Maybe a miniature Terry Bradshaw….that could work, too.
Question:
2nd question. Is the sun ever going to shine again in Nashville?
— Steven McCash (@MC_Cash75) March 1, 2019
Answer:
Steven, it’s miserable, man! We got a glimpse of some nice weather this week and it was just enough to tease us. Make us think we were turning a corner only to drop back down to the 30s and get gloomy af. I’m ready for spring at this point.
Question:
Preferred brand of gin for #ginfriday?
— Brittany Fernandez (@bonnaroobritt) March 1, 2019
Answer:
Tinkerman’s sweet spice – mmmmmmm good shit. My favorite gin out there right now, but it’s hard to come by. The Goat in Mount Juliet is the only place I know of that has it. My go-to is Bombay Sapphire. I will do Beefeater if I have to, but more often than not, I’m drinking Bombay Sapphire. I also like Aviation, but it’s a little pricey and all you’re really paying for is the Ryan Reynolds brand.
Question:
Who would you cast to be the next duo on True Detective? And no, @RemadnaWKRN and i aren’t available to reprise the roles, but thanks for thinking of us.
— Armondo (@mightymondo) March 1, 2019
Answer:
Damn….why bother even answering this question now?
Give me a grizzled and hardened Mickey Rourke and Jessica Chastain, baby!
Question:
Have you ever thought of commissioning Rebecca Black to make a #GinFriday song? Follow up question: why not?
— The Ultimate Worrier (@WorrierMN) March 1, 2019
Answer:
We need to put you on the payroll! How’s a million dollars sound? Just keep giving us ideas like this.
Could you imagine a Rebecca Black-SoBros cross over though?!?!
Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
