Christos Mini Mart and Pizzeria Review (Jersey City)

Christos Mini Mart and Pizzeria is located at 301 8th Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. We encountered this charming bodega because the AirBnB that we stayed at to cover the WrestleMania week festivities was a block away. You’ll notice in the featured image…that’s us heading towards Christos as if it’s the North Star in the dark of midnight.

Since I was either drunk or hungover approximately 95% of the time spent in Jersey City, this little mom and pop bodega served all of my needs. Be it hydration or food to calm my raging body, Christos had me covered. We were in town for four days, and I’m pretty sure I ate at least six of the nine meals I had came from Christos.

By the time I left on Saturday, I had tried cheese pizza, margherita pizza, and a Philly cheesesteak for lunch/dinner. I tried the potato and egg sandwich, the steak and egg melt, and the sausage, egg, and cheese wrap for breakfast. I never once had a bad meal. And, as disgusting as that combination of food might sound, I never once had stomach issues. Did not let out a single toot the entire time I was in New Jersey – true story.

The coffee was also at least as good as the best cup of gas station coffee you’ll find anywhere. 10/10. On top of the food, they also had something equally important to the trip: Gatorade. I think Jesse almost bought some diapers, too. Probably a smart idea given how the shows were going at the White Eagle Hall, but I’m pretty sure he was just reaching for the towelettes.

Nonetheless, this hidden treasure on 8th street served every possible need we had short of orgasm. And, I’ll tell y’all what – that fuckin’ pizza had me close to it! One more slice and I might’ve needed a new pair of drawers.

When I mentioned I might write a review of this paragon of pizza and breakfast foods, I reached out to my fellow travelers for some of their quick thoughts.

SoBros and Friends Review Christos Mini Mart and Pizzeria

Mose – “I ate my weight in delicious pizza and egg/potato breakfast sandwiches. Not sure I would have survived the trip without Christo’s. All hail.”

Redacted – “The bodega saved my life in my time of need. I bought two Gatorades, a homemade cookie, and a steak and egg melt all for under $12.00. They also had bomb ass pizza and were very generous with the toppings. God bless that Bodega. The God. The King.”

Righteous Jesse – “The BBQ chicken pizza and buffalo chicken pizza were god tier. And I’m a Chicago deep dish guy through and through. The clerk was funny and super nice when he could’ve been a jerk. The location of that bodega was so clutch. Forever the MVP of that trip.”

WOW! A home run, right?!?! Let’s check in and see what some of the fine folks have said about this exquisite dining option on Yelp!

In all seriousness, I don’t give A FUCK what these people have to say. That fuckin’ place was a godsend, and I wouldn’t have survived Jersey City without it. I may fly back up there JUST to get some more of that pizza. Margherita pie for days, bitches. Rating: 10/10, the only perfect score I’ve ever given in a review.
