Poppa Bear’s NFL Mock Draft 2019: The 100% Correct Edition

Hey guys!

Great news! We’re just a day away from the 2019 NFL Draft. And, since this year it takes place in Nashville, your boys will be covering all of the festivities. Make sure you tune in for all of our Draft coverage (since Stoney has written a TON of it).

Now, it wouldn’t be NFL Draft season without Poppa Bear’s Mock Draft. After spending countless hours shuffling my mock draft, I’ve decided that this year is a wild card year. Currently, I have Kyler Murray going #1 overall, but I’m already rethinking the pick. Would anyone be surprised if the Arizona Cardinals decided to take an elite pass rusher instead?

As a general rule, I never mock trades in these things. They would be super difficult to keep track of and I don’t have the time or patience for that. But I do think we’ll see plenty of trades this year, even in the first round. If Arizona opts to not draft Murray, they could potentially trade the pick away to help fill a ton of gaps. Miami could also trade up to snag a QB instead of waiting until 2020 (which is a huge QB draft class.) Jon Gruden is an absolute wild card and is playing on house money with three first rounders to offer. We could also see some teams trading down to gain more picks in later rounds (Jacksonville and Detroit).

For the hometown team, I think most of us agree that the Titans are going defense in the first round. GM Jon Robinson isn’t afraid to make big moves and jump into a trade, but most likely, the Titans stay at #19. If you’re interested in potential picks for the Titans, I recommend reading up on all of Big Natural’s analysis. The E.I.C. has been putting in the work, and has several draft scenarios broken down for you. If I know him, and I do, he’ll link them somewhere in this area for you to find.

All caught up so far? Good. Now we can get to the Mock Draft for what I know will be a perfect representation of Thursday night. Seriously, after reading this, you can just skip the draft. I’m basically spoiling it for you. Let’s go.
