This clumsy lion, y’all. Gotta feel bad for the fella, but honestly, knowing that such an apex predator can have such a colossal goof makes me feel a little more comforted at night.
I know I couldn’t defeat a lion in hand to hand combat. I’m not that naive. So, when I see stuff like this, I can’t help but consider it a moral victory for humans. We all know the War on Humans is real. Anyone can see that the animals of the world are uniting to take it back from the clutches of our hands.
So, when I see a lion fall into a….what even is this thing? A trench?
Anyway, I can’t help but say, “HA! Got ’em!” That’s because I know if I was in that den with this clumsy lion, he’d be eating my dead carcass.

Man, we’ve all been there before.
This is actually how I got my first concussion. I was trying to say goodbye to one of my friends, was looking up when I should’ve been looking down, and I ran right into a cart wrangler. Flipped right over it and landed right on my head. Was hearing ringing in my ears and had a dull pain accompanied by nausea shortly after.
Man, do I wish I was living in captivity then and would’ve had a nice dirty ass pond/trench to land in. Maybe my quality of life would be a lot different now.
Nonetheless, forgetting the War on Humans for a second, I love that this lion’s homie was right there by his side the whole time. We all need a friend like this.
