The Fidget Boyz skit sat on my desk for two full years before we finally got around to completing it. The premise was pretty simple: let’s make a rap video, but instead of tiddies, cars, and parties, let’s use fidget spinners. Back in 2016 when the idea was fresh, fidget spinners were hot as hell. But in November of 2018, maybe not so much.
That’s part of the reason I liked the idea even more. Who waits until a trend is pretty much dead before they write about it or make a skit about it? The Fidget Boyz, that’s who!
So, after sitting on my to-do list for two years, we finally assembled the troops: “Nature Boy” Brandon Vick, friends of the brand Lane and RHog, and myself. Mose was kind enough to man the camera. We ventured out to the park and shot ourselves doing some REALLY badass shit as you’ll see below, and then we went downtown and got some pizza because pizza is for winners. Mose did his magic on the editing table, and we ended up with the classic shared below.
The Fidget Boyz were born.
I will never be able to hear Waka Flocka Flame’s hit, “Hard In Da Paint,” again.
