The Past Their Prime Combine was such a fun concept. Just regular dudes going out and running combine drills like the aspiring pros of the National Football League. We’d film it and throw it up on socials for #content, get a good day out of it, and then go crush beers at the Corner Pub. Our boys at Has Been Sports met up with us, and we had ourselves a grand ol’ content collaboration.
I have fond memories of this day, as the ground was good and soggy. Thought for sure it would mean a broken ankle, but some great content, with people falling over and all. Thankfully, no bones were broken, and we had a great time….even though Has Been kicked our asses in all four competitions.
If you dig through the archives on Periscope, you might be able to find some of the old live videos of the competition. Not sure why I didn’t have the presence of mind to actually put those in a post to preserve somewhere, but hey – such is life when you’re a DIY media company trying to figure out how to do all of this shit on your own.

This past spring was fuckin’ crazy – between the Watertown mile long yard sale, our Preds watch party, WrestleMania week in Jersey City, the Chattanooga Film Festival, and NFL Draft in Nashville, we had ONE free Saturday to make the Past Their Prime Combine II happen in March-April. And, of course – we get it scheduled for that one day and get rained out. Don’t worry – we’ll run it back next spring….assuming, of course, that it doesn’t rain.
