‘Stop Pooping’ Is the Smartest Argument I’ve Ever Heard Supporting Environmentalism

I am all for saving the environment. Just seems like one of those things that, y’know, we should all strive for. Our planet’s important. It’s the only one we got, and we should take care of it! It can get overwhelming, though. It’s hard for everyday folk like me to stay on top of environmentalism 24/7.

Well, thankfully, the President of Brazil has come up with a G E N I U S idea that all of us can abide by. No matter how busy you are, no matter how packed your calendar is, and no matter how much spare time you have, it takes minimal effort to just stop pooping.

And, according to the President of Brazil, that will help save the Earth.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro suggested Friday that people “poop every other day” as a way to save the environment, after he came under fire for a surge in deforestation of the Amazon since he came to power.

That’s what I’m talkin’ about, Jair. Real practical solutions for real world problems.

I mean, I don’t really understand the science behind it. Like, wouldn’t the poop come out regardless at some point? I don’t know – I’m going to trust the President of Brazil way more than my own education when it comes to matters of science.

I feel empowered to save the planet now. I’m just going to ignore my gut instinct that this was a total panic response to being grilled about taking down the whole damn Amazon.

Let this be an official call to action – everyone stop pooping. It’s for the planet.
