Man, when Nick Foles went down with an injury in Week 1, Jacksonville Jaguars fans had to feel like their hearts were ripped right out of their bodies (what a shame, I know). But, like a beacon of light in the darkness, from the ashes of a seemingly lost season rose the BDE icon Gardner Minshew.
I would like to go on record and state that I pointed out when the Jags took Minshew in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, it was, and I quote:
“Interesting” -Stoney Keeley, on the Jags drafting of Gardner Minshew
I’m not sure if I said it publicly or just in my own head alone in my apartment, but just because you can’t prove something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. That’s, like, the FIRST rule of journalism. Anyway, back to Minshew.
So, the season is over with, right? NOT SO FAST, MY FRIEND – all Minshew does is come in and post an 88% completion percentage. Dude goes 22/25 for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. What’s crazy, though, is that ALL THREE of those incompletions were credited as drops! WTF!?! I mean, yeah, they still got smoked by the Kansas City Chiefs, but not for a lack of BDE at the quarterback position, which we all know is a critical ingredient for success in the NFL.
Then, he shows up for yesterday’s game looking like this.
The Texans are 7 1/2 point favorites over the Jaguars but I saw Gardner Minshew get off the team plane and I’ve got Jacksonville by 35. pic.twitter.com/OqRHUK3gBW

That’s what we call ‘championship fashion,’ folks. Just when it looked like that game was over, the clutch genes often found in conjunction with this sort of fashion sense took over.

Total boner alert.
He finished yesterday’s game 23/33 for 213 yards and a touchdown. He could very well be #TheGuy in Jacksonville.
I mean, yeah, again – they’re 0-2 and Jalen Ramsey is trying to fight the head coach, players are getting ejected for trying to fight officials, but we have to get Minshew credit for being an elite sex icon in the NFL.
