As a part of our Halloween 2017 coverage, we’ve decided to open up a bit of our personal lives, and share some scary stories. These are full on eye witness accounts of spooky occurrences. So, get your popcorn ready. Feel free to pull these stories out around the campfire, too.

My sister Chelsea and I were sitting in the living room, each on a different sofa. I was on the left sofa and she was on the right with my dark brown and tan calico cat S’mores. I was eating chips and cheese dip and Chelsea’s cat Batman (a chubby grey cat) jumped up on my sofa trying—so cutely—to dip her paw in the cheese dip. Of course, we did what all cat ladies do and filmed it.
As I am filming, Batman is trying to dip her paw in while I’m halfheartedly telling her to stop. So we sent the video in a group message to my siblings and mom and my mom replies back asking when did we get the black kitten.
What?? No black cat, especially a kitten, was in our apartment. We thought she was nuts so she told us to watch it again.
We did and, as the video is going along, a black kitten’s tail shoots up from the bottom of the couch and you can hear a kitten meow!!! Scared the shit out of us!! S’mores was sleeping next to Chelsea on her couch and had not moved while Batman is grey and in the video. Where and why did that tail show up. How?!?!?!?!?!?!?
