Not a whole lot of words for what transpired on Thursday Night Football tonight. With only a few seconds left in the game, tensions boiled over between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Myles Garrett ripped Mason Rudolph‘s helmet off and windmill swung that shit right onto Rudolph’s head. See for yourself:

Just inexcusable. It’s almost midnight (CST) and we still don’t know what triggered this whole thing. Mike Tomlin, Rudolph, Garrett, Freddie Kitchens – several people have all taken the podium and declined to comment on what exactly happened to set this off.
But, Kitchens was quick to point out that it doesn’t matter. You’re talking about putting the safety of men who play an already violent game in jeopardy. It doesn’t matter what was said or done, you just can’t respond in that manner. It’s completely insane – from a guy who had a good reputation before this. The whole thing’s incredibly bizarre.
I’ve watched football for my entire life, and I’ve never seen anything this egregious. The Albert Haynesworth incident comes to mind, but this was a case in which some severe damage could have been done. Can you imagine if Garrett had hit Rudolph with the crown of the helmet?! I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that could have feasibly been called assault.
Give the Browns a little credit – Baker Mayfield, Kitchens, and a couple of others spoke with the media and didn’t exactly have his back. It has to be awkward for those guys to be associated with an incident such as this. It’s a reflection of the Browns organization, whether they like it or not.
You had Maurkice Pouncey swinging punches, trying to kick Garrett. I don’t really blame him – I mean, that’s your quarterback…you just watched him take a helmet to an exposed head. You have to get in there – but he told the media that he doesn’t really remember the incident because he blacked out in anger.
I’m sure he’ll see consequences for his actions, too, but the whole thing is just so damn surreal.
Asked after the game, Garrett said he didn’t think the incident should overshadow the Browns win. Are you fucking kidding me?
Myles Garrett doesn’t think his actions take away from the #Browns win.

“A win is a win. … I don’t think it’s overshadowed by what happens in 8 seconds.”
ARE. YOU. SERIOUS! #Steelers pic.twitter.com/B8yoWyrfXE
This ain’t it, chief.
That ain’t the look. I don’t know if Garrett understands the magnitude of what he did – the gravity of his actions…but he’s going to learn. Vontaze Burfict was suspended for 12 games this year – it’s the longest suspension in NFL history.
What Garrett did tonight should end his season for the Browns. If the NFL is as serious about player safety as they claim to be, the ramifications of this incident could push Burfict for his “crown,” if you want to call it that.
Why on Earth, if you’re the Browns, do you let Garrett even talk to the media? I mean, if I’m the NFL and I see that clip, I’m going to make an example of him. He didn’t do anything to help his case by saying what he did shouldn’t overshadow the Browns win.
Which, to be honest, is good. Why the fuck should he have a case for what he did? Fuck that shit.
Get it out of the game.
These two teams meet again in two weeks. Boy, is that going to be interesting.
