Welcome in to a new feature we are trying out here on SoBros Network because we were recently approved to be on Google News (YUGE win, LFG), and I am testing whether or not it’s worth doing these sorts of power rankings for the SEO. Yes, that’s the entire basis for this set of NFL Power Rankings.

For me, it’s pretty simple. I’m just looking at wins and losses, and I’m looking at the eye test to determine my top 10 teams in the NFL each week. LFG.

NFL POWER RANKINGS: WEEK 12 2019

1. Baltimore Ravens (8-2) – Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, and now Deshaun Watson – the Ravens have really frustrated some damn good quarterbacks this season. They are absolutely lethal on offense, averaging a whopping (and league-leading) 203.8 rushing yards per game. Lamar Jackson should be the frontrunner for MVP, and this team HAS to be thinkin’ Super Bowl at this point. They have another test in the form of the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football this week.

2. Seattle Seahawks (8-2) – The Seahawks are 4th in the NFL in total offense, behind only the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC. Given the magic that MVP candidate quarterback Russell Wilson can seemingly create out of nothing, and the experience this regime has in the postseason, I’d have them as the favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles this Sunday.

3. New England Patriots (9-1) – Tom Brady definitely isn’t happy about how the offense is performing right now, but that defense is so good that it might not matter. Bill Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the NFL. Their experience and braintrust alone make them a legitimate Super Bowl contender. They’ll try to get things right when they host the Dallas Cowboys in a big game on Sunday.

4. San Francisco 49ers (9-1) – If the Niners get into a situation where Handsome Jimmy G is forced to sling the ball all over the yard in order to win, I think they could be in trouble when you look at some of the other contenders in the NFC. That said, if they can keep running the ball and playing elite defense, they might not have to worry about it. They host Green Bay on Sunday Night Football this week.

5. New Orleans Saints (8-2) – Credit to the Saints for continuing to just find ways to win. Sean Payton may be doing his best coaching job yet this season. After an inexplicable loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Saints got back into the win column against Tampa Bay on Sunday, keeping pace in the tight NFC race. They hose Carolina in a huge NFC South showdown this week.

6. Green Bay Packers (8-2) – The Packers have gutted out some close wins this season, but 8-2 is 8-2. The San Francisco 49ers are a different class, so we’ll see how this team performs on the road against one of the elite in the NFC.

7. Minnesota Vikings (8-3) – No one seems to be talking about the Vikings, and to be fair, maybe it’s because of memories of seasons past. The NFC is going to field six teams that all could win the Super Bowl when the playoffs start. The Vikings are third in rushing and fifth in the points allowed on defense. That style of play is conducive to success in the playoffs. Count them among the contenders.

8. Dallas Cowboys (6-4) – Inconsistency has plagued the Cowboys this season, but they have the personnel to score with anybody in the league. In terms of total yards per game, they’re the best offense in the NFL. They just have to prove they can do it against the elite teams in the NFL.

9. Los Angeles Rams (6-4) – I don’t want to venture a guess as to whether or not Sean McVay has lost faith in Jared Goff. But, it doesn’t matter the way that defense is playing. Plus, it had to be encouraging to see Todd Gurley get going against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.

10. Oakland Raiders (6-4) – I know the Chiefs still have the reigning MVP in Patrick Mahomes and a ton of speed and creativity on offense. But, I absolutely love the way the Raiders are playing ball right now. This is a tough physical football team that can use Josh Jacobs and that underrated offensive line to push around that suspect Chiefs defense. I think this is a team that could get hot and make some noise in the playoffs.

CURRENT SUPER BOWL PREDICTION

Ravens over Seahawks – These are the two most complete teams in the NFL. I don’t think either team has the question marks that say, the Patriots have on offense, or that the 49ers have in the passing game. Both play a style that is successful in the playoffs. Both have MVP candidates at quarterback. Seems like these are the two best in the NFL right now.
