Well, I guess that big Bootleggers Inn promotion finally paid off. They’re starting to get the locals in. The only drawback is that those Nashvillians are also throwing hot dogs and/or fists at the security guards. That’s right – we have a case of a dude being arrested for assault with a hot dog on Broadway today.
Apparently, this guy couldn’t make his mind up whether he wanted to actually go into the establishment or not. I get it – decisions, decisions. But, when he just stood in the way for a bit too long, security asked him to leave. That’s when he flipped his shit,
“…Waters threw a hot dog at the security staffer, striking him with the hot dog and the hand he used to throw it.”
Wait…did he throw the hot dog? Or, did he punch the security guard with a hot dog in his hand? Because those definitely seem like two different things. Seems like some vague reporting…or a scene from Hot Rod or Step Brothers.
If I’m that security guard, I am mad as hell at this headline. It’s all about the hot dog thing, sure, but I would hate to be the guy who called the cops because he was assaulted with a hot dog. That just sounds soft. Why does the hot dog have to be in this story at all? Just say you got punched in the face and it’s just a regular night on Broadway.
Now, all of his buddies are going to ridicule him for being assaulted with a hot dog. Not cool.
Also, have you ever had the hot dogs down on Broadway after a night of heavy drinking? It is an absolute crime to waste such a thing. If for no other reason, this man should be thrown in jail for the next decade.
This is a spit in the face of one of Nashville’s most underrated institutions, and I am appalled.
