The Tennessee Titans turned it on in the second half yesterday and ended up pulling away from the Oakland Raiders, winning 42-21. As has been the case since the Denver game, Ryan Tannehill was stellar – going 21/27 for 391 yards, THREE touchdowns, and a pick. But, it’s the tackle he made saving that interception from turning into a pick six that has the Titans fan base ready to run through a brick wall this morning.

Look at that form. Forget “play smarter, not harder.” Ryan Tannehill is playing harder -AND- smarter. The tough sonofagun throws the pick, then gets up and gets blocked. But, it doesn’t deter him. He’s fucking fearless. Instead of trying to bully his way through the block, he just swings out to get the angle, outruns everyone and then delivers a perfect form tackle that was more reminiscent of an early 2000s WCW Goldberg spear that saves the touchdown. What an inspiration.

Hot damn. If the Titans need some help at safety, looks like they could always give Tannehill a call. This guy is doing it all for the Titans right now, and has truly been the spark that has saved the season. It’s unbelievable. If this guy had played the entire season, he’d be in the 2019 NFL MVP conversation and you can’t talk me down off that hill right now.
He’s just been incredible. Derrick Henry is getting going. A.J. Brown is stepping up. The defense is playing well. This Titans team is a team that no one wants to see in the playoffs right now. They’re making a push for the AFC South title with the Houston Texans on deck twice in the next three weeks. It’s an exciting time to be a Titans fan.
