‘Tis the season, and boy Walmart is really going hard in the Christmas sweater game. The ugly sweater craze has been going strong for well over a decade now. Each year it seems like they get more and more outlandish and ridiculous. But, to my knowledge, nobody out there has been putting out the Christmas cocaine sweater. That is, until 2019….that’s right…THIS year…when Walmart threw this heater of an ugly Christmas sweater:

Walmart Canada is saying sorry for making available a Christmas sweater with an apparent drug reference. The sweater featured an image of Santa Clausbehind a table with three white lines that look similar to cocaine lines.
Hoowee does this thing look awesome. Not only do they have the the lines on the table and the brilliant ‘let it snow’ line, but they really nailed the face of that….snowman? Is that supposed to be Santa? I really can’t fucking tell. But, I know with a million percent certainty that that face screams “cocaine!”
And, really – I have NO idea why people are so upset about this. It seems like a real conversation starter. Besides, in the barrage of ugly sweaters at the holiday party, who would even really notice the whole cocaine sweater thing? What kind of fucking cop caller is going to tell HR, anyway?
This is the true spirit of Christmas, is it not? Joy to the world. Find your own happiness. “You do you,” I believe is what the crux of this whole thing’s about, right? Maybe I’m off base here, but I see no issue with this sweater other than it’s genius, hilarious, and festive.
