The NFL Being so Damn Extra: Players Will Be Taken to Stage by Boat at 2020 NFL Draft

Players will be taken to the stage BY BOAT at the 2020 NFL Draft in Las Vegas.

I understand the NFL rules all these days. They can pretty much do whatever the fuck they want to without consequence. I mean, you literally have people putting their long-term health on the line….throwing their bodies around and knowingly taking on CTE because the riches are undeniable. People want to be apart of the NFL, and the NFL is KING.

But, I see shit like this, and I start to think, “okay, somebody needs to step up and tell these people no sometimes.”

Listen – I’m all for the show, but this is just too damn extra. They’re out here treating these draftees like Bond villains. Can’t wait for one of them to show up with an eye patch or something!

That joke’s gonna fall short – I haven’t seen any Bond movies. I don’t know what they look like. It just seems like the thing to say based off of the context clues I’ve received through other people calling other people ‘Bond villains.’ My bad, guys. I’ll do better.

But, like many are pointing out on social media, this is going to turn the 2020 NFL Draft into a month-long event. As if this thing wasn’t already spread out enough, THIS is really going to do it. I’m already dreading how late I’m going to have to stay up to see the Tennessee Titans pick at #29. Who am I kidding? No, I’m not. I’ll take AFC Championship berths every year.

I can’t wait to see how they top this in 2021, though. Before long, they’re going to be shooting players out of cannons while Lizzo performs their entrance music. Each drafted player will receive a dozen roses and a championship ring (from something).

And, it’s official – my first draft “article” of 2020 is in the books. I guess draft season is officially underway.
