Okay, y’all didn’t tell me that Jerry Glanville was coaching in the XFL. As if I needed any more reason to absofuckinglutely LOVE the XFL, I go and see this video pop up on my Twitter feed:

You can ask Mose. I saw this video and literally yelled, “JERRY GLANVILLE IS COACHING IN THE XFL?!?!?!”
I mean absolutely no disrespect by what I’m about to say, but I legitimately thought this man was dead. He was an absolute rock star as the head coach of the Houston Oilers in the late 80s and the Atlanta Falcons of the early 90s.
Now, it’s 2020, and we’re watching a video of this man talking about how hard it is to defend Cardale Jones. What a world. What a wild ass world we live in.

Also, I’m not trying to be overly critical here, but maybe part of the problem for the Tampa Bay Vipers is that they have a guy who the game passed by a long time ago in this position. The Vipers are 0-3 with an XFL-worst -5 touchdown differential.
That’s not good defense if you ask me, but hell….what do I know? I’m just a shitty writer that’s never coached a day in his life. Maybe Jerry Glanville is exactly what the Vipers need.
One thing is certain, though – I’ll sure as shit watch that man talk and break down the game plan each and every week.
