The Carolina Panthers released quarterback Cam Newton earlier in the week. Rumors had swirled for quite a while that the breakup might happen, and it finally did. The Panthers are rolling the dice by getting rid of a guy who was once the MVP of the NFL (2015) and considered to be “the LeBron James of the NFL.”
It was a gamble. But, the concern for his recent string of injuries proved to be real, and the Panthers were able to clear up some cap space. It looks like they’re content to ride it out with a quarterback room that includes newcomer Teddy Bridgewater, the XFL’s PJ Walker, and Will Grier. Newton will be looking for a job.
But, this whole thing only seems to have fueled the fire within that man based on a video he recently posted to his Instagram account.

Damn, Cam! Blasting gospel music in the gym during a workout is an all time flex. Everyone else is moving weights around. Cam Newton is fuckin’ HEALING. This man is exercising his SOUL. This is like some next level self care. This is motivation unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a man’s eyes.
“They gave up on me.” Hell yeah, the Panthers gave up on you, Cam. Does that mean you’re done? HELL NO. Does that mean you can’t still be an elite quarterback in the NFL? HELL NO. Are you just gonna wilt and retire? HELL NO!!
“All I know is work.” That is the way, folks. And, that’s what people, even outside of football need to understand. You want something, you gotta put in the work. You gotta commit to it, and you gotta make it happen. Newton knows that, and that’s we just put the whole NFL on notice. This man’s ready to make the Panthers pay, and personally, I am ready to run through a whole ass brick wall.
