That exchange is how I believe the term yacht rock was born.
Every genre of music has sub-genres and rock music probably has more than any other type of music.
Yacht Rock isn’t an actual subgenre of rock, but rather a term coined to describe the sweet soft, jazzy rock jams of the ‘70s and early ‘80s.
