Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

Ah man….now I’m just thinking about Gatlinburg. I can’t wait until this is all over so I can head up to the mountains for a bit.

Anyway, to answer your question – I am basic as fuck when it comes to my Ole Smoky. Just give me some apple pie moonshine in a glass to sip on and I’m good. I also like the moonshine cherries, too. Pop those bad boys in a Jack & Coke and you’ve got a nice little cocktail…at least in my simple mind.

Also, props to Brittany for doing a service for us all:

Question:

Answer:

Hard to say, but I think it’s high time we make an effort to bring ’em back. I used to run social gatherings/competitions back in the day, and we actually held a pogs tournament a couple of times in 2010 and 2011. If anyone can shoulder this burden, it’s me.

Question:

Answer:

April, I’m told, but it was snowing in Nashville the other day so I can’t verify how accurate that is.

Question:

Answer:

Not since I was a kid, but when I was little, I would have this recurring dream that the little miniature army men I had would come to life and climb these giant ropes up and down my bed.

Question:

Answer:

Is this the blackberry winter? I can’t keep up with all of ’em, but I’m sure this is the last one of the season, right?!? It has to be. I’m getting desperate.

Question:

Answer:

I’m holding up well, Brett. Thankfully, I have a day job that wasn’t effected by all of this. Actually, things have really ramped up because of this pandemic. I was busier this week than I’ve been in awhile, as evidenced by a little less SoBros content.

Otherwise, it’s just a matter of trying to keep from going stir crazy. The emotional toll has been taxing – stuff I love that keeps getting canceled, seeing people I care about losing their jobs or getting sick, the uncertainty of the future in all of this. It can weigh on you, so it’s taken a concerted effort to stay positive and keep on truckin’ along.

Question:

Answer:

Might as well be. I put on pants for the first time in about a month the other day, and it kinda felt good. I was surprised by that..it was like I felt like a real person for a little bit again. That was short-lived as soon as I got back home and got back into gym shorts. This pandemic could make things dire for #TeamPants.

Question:

Answer:

Honestly, if people haven’t listened to our interview with you, it’s one of the most real and genuine ones we’ve done. Every conversation I’ve had with you, I’ve felt like there’s no facade…nobody’s putting up walls…it’s just two dudes talking. It’s real, and I think that can be hard to find in the wrestling business. So, that’s something that’s always stood about you to me.

Question:

Answer:

Fortunately, I still have a day job -AND- am still able to run SoBros Network through all of this, so I haven’t had a whole lot of free time. In fact, I work on the ops side of healthcare at the day job, so as you’d imagine, I’m actually busy as hell right now. Whatever free time I’ve had, I’ve spent reading or listening to ASMR to relax.

But, I have taken a couple of Skillshare courses on Google Analytics and SEO to kinda brush up on the basics again. There are a couple of other ones on my radar: film-making with an iPhone, and screen printing. So, hopefully before too long, I’ll be able to count those two skills here.

Question:

Answer:

There’s a good chance that either would kill me after all of the concussions I”ve had in my lifetime. But, I’m going to have to go with a Tyson left hook…no matter what, I’m going down out cold, but I feel like there’s going to be a lot more torque, momentum, and power with the kick than the punch.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
