Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, use #SoBrosMailbag to hit us up on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

You know what, Brett? I’ll say it – the Ernest movies don’t get nearly enough love for being the pinnacle of slapstick comedy for kids of my generation. I’m 33 years old, and we often fondly look back at Nicktoons, Space Jam, Hulkamania, and Ghostbusters as hallmarks of the 1990s. I know a handful of Ernest movies were made in the 1980s, and maybe that’s why. But, they are cherished relics and deserve to be in the conversation about treasured 1990s properties. Anyway….

Here’s my top three:

3) Ernest Saves Christmas – Really fun movie that’s lost in the shuffle in the larger discussion about Christmas movies altogether.

2) Ernest Goes to Camp – I watched this for what felt like every summer of my childhood. Hell, I might try and dig it up just to get that old ‘school’s out for summer’ feeling.

1) Ernest Scared Stupid – Immediately came to mind. You say ‘Ernest,’ I think about his head sticking out of that pumpkin on the VHS cover. This is the quintessential Ernest movie, in my opinion.

I miss Ernest making movies for all the holidays and special occasions in life.

Question:

Answer:

I have no idea why, but my gut reaction to this was The Hangover. How crazy would it be for the guys to go to Vegas and wake up in space? Just pure pandemonium.

I’d also mention Fight Club here, too. Something about how mentally slippery it was made an engaging film. Just imagine how trippy it would be in space.

Question:

Answer:

500,000,000.
