For those of you who don’t already know, Daddy’s Dogs is a veritable institution of Nashville cuisine. Whether you’re stumbling around after a night of debauchery trying to stave off a nasty hangover, or you’re stressed to the max at the day job and want a lunch that will help you eat your feelings, Daddy’s Dogs is a great choice. Gotta say – it’s probably some of the best comfort food in the city, and I didn’t even mention the fact that you can get a 40 served on ice at the flagship location.
If you can’t appreciate what Big Daddy has done in Nashville and for Nashville over the last several years, then you just don’t like success stories. To go from hunting down the cart for lunch when I worked on 4th Avenue to seeing this beautiful location in The Nations flourishing is inspiring. Gotta be one of the greatest case studies in branding that’s out there around the Music City.
Well, according to a video on Instagram, the flagship location was broken into yesterday morning:
Unfortunately last night we got broken into and some stuff got stolen… On top of the global pandemic and events being a shuttered bars being closed, this is the last thing we needed.
Of all the lowlife shit – how are you going to put that stressor on this community? People just want their hot dogs – the best hot dogs in Nashville. And, now – someone had to selfishly come in and put that in jeopardy. SMDH.

Look what you did, you assholes. I hope you’re caught, and for punishment, you have to have one of those 40s on ice stuck up y….okay, I’m sorry. I will calm down. My anger and emotions got the better of me. I just want to help.
Big Daddy followed up in a later Instagram story saying that their friends down the street at Burger Joint were broken into as well. I haven’t made it out to Burger Joint, so I can’t defend them as vehemently. Sorry, guys – just being transparent here. That’s the ‘SoBros Way.’ But, I will certainly add it to my list of places to visit, and hell, maybe I’ll see if I can eat a hot dog and a burger in the same meal. Fuck it, YOLO.
