Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter.
Question:
Where do you keep your to do list? Paper or digital? Do you add things you’ve already done and cross them off?
— Lady May Queen (@brittbutspooky) August 5, 2020
Answer:
Brittany, between this and the questions about my morning and evening routines, I’m starting to think that you are bound and determined to show everyone what a complete psychopath I am.
I’m a big fan of goal-setting and to-do lists. I have a notebook that I tote around in my backpack with me just about everywhere I go. That is my week-to-week. Each page is a list of articles I need to write, business items I need to address, etc. for that week. I cross ’em off as I go, and yes, I’ll even jot stuff down that I’ve already done just to get that feeling of accomplishment that comes along with crossing something off a list (one of the best and most underrated feelings in existence). I just love the feeling of good old fashioned pen and paper.
But, for the bigger picture stuff, I use Google Docs. I have an entire “directory” of my to-do lists. My list of yearly goals, a list of project ideas, a marketing plan, a tech to-do list, all sorts of stuff. Actually, here’s a look at that doc:

You guessed it – each of those link to a doc or a spreadsheet, though only 10 of those are what you’d call true to-do lists.
So, I sit down at the end of the year and think about all I want to accomplish in the coming year, and what SoBros Network needs to accomplish in order for us to take the next step as a brand and company. I make all of these docs and spreadsheets, and then I pull from those lists and add things to my weekly notebook as they pop up.
It might seem like an excessive and cumbersome system to some, but I’ve found that it keeps me organized, makes it easy to track the progress of our company, and keeps me motivated….even if it is a total lunatic move to be this obsessive about lists and goal-setting.
Question:
What’s the name of the sobros fashion haus and what attractions do yall have at the grand opening
— Criminal Medicine (@Xenoxands) August 5, 2020
Answer:
I believe it is simply called ‘Suave,’ and what attractions don’t we have? That place is a hypnotic fever dream fuckfest. But, in all seriousness, E, there’s definitely going to be putt-putt.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! <3
