I’m a huge nut for candy corn. Of all the fall flavors that are popular this time of year, candy corn definitely makes my Mount Rushmore of fall flavors (along with pumpkin, caramel apple, and clove). That said, the idea of eating candy corn wings – yes, hot wings that are literally coated and tossed in melted down candy corn – is one of the few times I have to pause and think, “have I gone too far?”

You know what? The more I think about it, the more absurd it is that I even have to stop and think about this. OF COURSE I’m going to eat this, and I’m probably going to love it.
If you love something, you never let it go – that’s the saying if I’m not mistaken. If I love candy corn…if it is one of the quintessential fall flavors…why would I EVER let it go? Just put it on everything I possibly can – drop a few pieces into my coffee in the morning, sprinkle candy corn atop my salad at lunch, and yes, most definitely, melt it down and coat my hot wings in it.
Will I live to see 40 eating like that? Probably not – but it’s all about living life, folks. That’s what matters.
Plus, candy corn wings sound a lot better than pumpkin spice wings, like Buffalo Wild Wings tried to make happen a couple of years ago. That sounds too Earthy….the candy corn sounds like just the right level of seasonal sweetness. And, yes – I just used the term ‘seasonal sweetness.’ It fits. It works. @ me, losers.
