Welcome all degenerate gamblers back into our weekly American football column here on the SoBros Network, Tank the 401k. Call your bookie and empty those retirement accounts (actually, don’t really do that – this is just sarcasm. Our lawyers say we shouldn’t claim to be experts on anything because we’re not)! Each week, Stoney and Stan team up to offer their three locks of the week – obviously, we’re not professionals here so take this advice with a grain of salt and don’t sue us if you piss all of your money away. That’s not our fault. Okay, I think we’re all set here – here are this week’s SoBros Gambling Picks.
Stan’s Picks
A solid bounce back last week going 2/3. The Cowboys loss was specifically called out in my write-up last week, so I’m going with 3-0*. We are back in the saddle and ready for another week! Don’t LOVE the board this week, but just have to dive in!
Marshall -23.5 – Only reason I am touching this game is I look to take my Friday night record to 2-0. No other explanation. Is Marshall good? No clue. Is Florida international bad? Equally. No clue. Just rolling the dice because that’s gambling baby!!
Raiders +2.5 – With OBJ out for the season, I truly believe the best receiver in the NFL will have the spotlight on him… HUNTER RENFROW!
Seattle -3 – Trap game? You bet! But I refuse to believe the Seahawks can’t beat the 9ers by 25+.

Stoney’s Picks
Whew – let’s all breathe a sigh of relief here. If you’ve been on the Tank the 401k train all season, then thanks for your patience. After a bad week, we fell below 50%, but we’re right back at it. Building from the ground up. Let’s get back in the fucking win column!
Falcons @ Panthers, OVER 51 – Scoring, as a whole, is up big time in the NFL overall this season. I tend to lean ‘over’ in almost every situation just because I feel like the odds are in your favor. But, specifically in this match-up, I’m expecting a shootout between two high-powered offenses. Particularly, Teddy Bridgewater is playing lights out right now. The only way I don’t see it hitting is if this game isn’t competitive, but I anticipate that it will be.
Chargers -3 – I’m all in on the Justin Herbert hype train. This kid is the future. The Chargers have lost a lot of close games as of late, but last week may have been the catalyst for them to finally start ending up on the right side of those outcomes. I don’t anticipate the game against the Broncos to be such a close game given how these guys are playing offense now.
Rams -3.5 – Gimme the Rams over the Dolphins by a touchdown, and NOT because of the way this unit is playing offense. It’s Aaron Donald and that defense that I like going up against Tua Tagovailoa in his first NFL start. The Dolphins are better than people realize, and they could make a push for that 7th spot in the AFC playoff race, but this ain’t the week for a triumphant win. Rams….comfortably.
