Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com.

Whew….damn, Patrick. This is some heavy life shit for the Friday before Christmas.

Y’know – I’ve thought about this before. I kinda hate the way we approach college in this country. We just force kids off to college right out of high school even if there’s no rhyme or reason to it. In my case, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life at 18. Shit, I wouldn’t know what I wanted to do with my life until I was 27. Yet, we pressure kids into making these big time decisions that will have an effect on the rest of their lives at an age when they just don’t always know.

I ended up with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, which has been pretty damn useless in my life so far. So, I think I definitely would change that to a journalism degree, and a chance to get into writing a whole hell of a lot sooner than I did.

Another tough one! Damn, you guys are grilling me this week. I’m a sucker for all of the Christmas food, candies, beers, flavors, everything. But, if I had to pick one thing, I’d say it’s the rest. Christmas, to me, is a time to slow things down, to reflect upon the year that was, and to spend time with loved ones before refocusing for the new year. I’ve become a big proponent of taking a couple of weeks off at the end of the year to enjoy it a little more. I’d recommend it for everyone if you can.

Finally, an easy one – it’s pad Thai, no doubt about it. Pad Thai is one of if not my absolute favorite food. I get it spicy (usually a four on a scale of five) with steak, but every now and then, I’ll switch it up and do chicken and shrimp. Yummy Pho Bac in Mount Juliet currently has my favorite pad Thai in the game.

Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
