Stan and Stoney are BACK for another edition of Tank the 401k!

Welcome all degenerate gamblers back into our weekly American football column here on the SoBros Network, Tank the 401k. Call your bookie and empty those retirement accounts (actually, don’t really do that – this is just sarcasm. Our lawyers say we shouldn’t claim to be experts on anything because we’re not)! Each week, Stoney and Stan team up to offer their three locks of the week – obviously, we’re not professionals here so take this advice with a grain of salt and don’t sue us if you piss all of your money away. That’s not our fault. Okay, I think we’re all set here – here are this week’s SoBros Gambling Picks.

STAN’S PICKS

Gambling life is not easy. First losing week going 1-2. Every gambler is bound to have an off week, but we are ready to get back on the right side of the gambling equation. First loss for the Thursday night delight. Ps I’m a full blown gambling addict right now. Outside of these picks, I am betting soccer, college basketball, football, and when my kid’s daycare starts putting out lines on the amount of cheddar bunnies he will eat at lunch, you bet I’m taking that action too…

Rutgers +10 – Penn state is a way better team, but Rutgers just had a big win and has hung with the rest of the Big 10. No reason to believe they don’t keep this close or outright win.

Saints -3 – They have to get it together, right?

Lions +3 – Don’t ask questions.

STONEY’S PICKS

Alright, talk about a rebound – I needed that last week. If the damn Browns could’ve put away the Jags, it would’ve been a perfect week, but I’ll take 2-1 chipping away at the deficit I’ve created for myself. All in all, as a team, we’re still winnin’ baby, so let’s keep that train a rolling.

LSU +29.5 – Listen, those of you who have followed my work for awhile know I’m a huge ‘Bama fan, but there ain’t no way you can convince me to take ’em at -29.5 IN Death Valley AT NIGHT. I don’t care how bad LSU has looked this season, this is going to be a YUGE game for them, and these games always have a tendency to get a little wonky. I’m not calling it an outright win, but I think they hang around a little more than folks expect.

Colts @ Texans, OVER 50.5 – I love the over in this matchup. Honestly, wouldn’t be surprised to see the Texans win it the way Deshaun Watson has been playing, but that spread is a little hairy to me. But, I look at the point total and think, contrary to the betting public (lot of money in on the under), that there’s potential for some fireworks between Watson and a Colts offense that’s going to be motivated to get right after last week’s loss.

Titans -5.5 – Two teams that play a similar style, but I look at how physical the Titans have played the last two weeks and think this is a team that’s gearing up for a real playoff push. This one’s going to hinge upon whether or not the Titans defense can stop the run and put the game on Baker Mayfield’s shoulders. I think they do it and force a couple of turnovers.
