It's Friday afternoon. The SoBros Mailbag is here.

Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com.

Question:

Answer:

Gotta be Stillman, right? I mean, the takes are either stupid or designed to grab attention, and either way, they’re annoying. I’m not a fan of “shtick” and it feels like he has a lot of “shtick.” But, I guess he’s built a brand of his own or else he wouldn’t have stuck around the way he has. *shrugs* To each his own, I guess.

The state of the sports scene in Nashville, as a whole, is a little stale in my opinion. There are some longtime stalwarts in town that are great, and I mean them no disrespect. Maybe that’s because Nashville is a mid-market stepping stone, and anytime someone starts getting hot, they’re on to bigger and better things. But, there’s not a lot of spark…not a lot of fire….on the scene today. That’s why I think Buck Reising is the future. He’s one of those dudes that is unapologetically his self and he’s pretty funny.

Oh, and we still need to get Big Joe his own daily television show, too.

Question:

Answer:

I find most of the Marvel stuff watchable – that’s a surefire way to get me to stop surfing channels. But, in terms of a movie that will stop me in my tracks and eat up two hours of my life every time it’s on, I’m going Step Brothers.

Question:

Answer:

Honestly, it’s rare that a television show consumes my life the way Game of Thrones and True Detective did. I know the story’s complete in Game of Thrones, but I’m stoked about the spin-offs coming to HBO. WandaVision has filled that void nicely, but I need something else like it in my life since that show’s almost done, too.

But, I’m going to give you a real answer, and it may be a polarizing one. Give me The Office….the single greatest television comedy of all time. The most watchable, digestible television show of all time. That’s my G.O.A.T. – and I’ve probably re-watched the entire series at least a dozen times.

And, for the sake of nostalgia, I’m gonna look back into my childhood to give you another, different answer – I learned many a life lesson from Doug and Hey Arnold. If they brought either of those back, I’m gonna tune in all the time.

Question, from Tyler on Facebook:

J.J. Watt or Jurrell Casey?

Answer:

Man, I love Casey. He’s one of my all-time favorite Titans defenders. But, given what this defense needs, I say Watt. Now, that’s assuming that the $15M-$16M price range is total bullshit, which I believe it is. Who in their right mind is actually going to pay that for the 2021 version of Watt? No offense, of course….but still, that’s absurd. If they could get him somewhere around the $10M mark, I’d pull that trigger in a heartbeat.

Question, from Debbie on Facebook:

R u comfy?

Answer:

Debbie, that is me at my MOST comfiest. Give me my recliner, a soft fuzzy blanket, a hot foot bath, a good gin and tonic, and I am SET! That’s what we call self-care, and ya gotta take care of yourself every once in awhile!

Question, from Joyce on Facebook:

Do you have heat!

Answer:

We do have heat, Joyce – though, our living room is open to the second floor, so it’s usually colder than the other rooms in the house. Sometimes, you just gotta cozy up on a winter evening, though.

Question:

Answer:

BRO! That shit is disturbing – am I the only one getting….like….lady Joker vibes? Is that movie supposed to be for kids? I don’t know, but listen – if I’m still cooped up in the house, I’ll probably watch it.
