Well, let’s add this one to the list of reasons why I root for Tom Brady. I wrote about it earlier today, and what we are gathered here for in this post is the perfect example of what I mean by, “I think Tom Brady has loosened up a bit away from New England.” Today was the boat parade (we need more boat parades in the world, by the way) for the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Brady is out there living his best life. I can’t remember the last time I had this much FOMO sitting at my stupid desk, blindly working my life away. Watching all the highlights on Twitter and blowing off work has made me want to crack open a beer. Anyway, let’s get to this clip of Brady chuckin’ the Lombardi Trophy over open water…

Look at him just yeet that motherfucker like it ain’t one of the biggest prizes in all of sports. He’s won so many he’s jaded now. Doesn’t give a damn – people work their whole lives to get one of those things, and Tom Brady is out here tossing it around like it’s filled with chocolate or something. What a flex on all of us losers in the world. The confidence that this man has is never-ending. Roger Goodell is pulling his gaht damn hair out right now, probably furious at all the fun that is being had today.
Gotta commend the hands on Gronk here, too. If he drops that thing, we’ve got a whole different set of headlines out in the media this afternoon. Could you imagine? “Lombardi Trophy Lost to the Ocean” or something like that. What would happen in that situation? They’d have to call out the Coast Guard to come out there and search for it. Can they drag the entire Gulf of Mexico? I don’t know. I don’t care, and neither does Tom Brady. We have to put this among his greatest completions of all time. Damn, now I want to get boat drunk. I miss being boat drunk. Thanks covid.
Also, two things about this clip…first, absolutely LOVE the choice of “Bad Boys for Life” during the boat parade. Second, absolutely LOVE the disbelief in Mike Evans’ voice as he was jumping up and down saying, “he caught that bitch!” Why don’t we check in with Tom to see how his afternoon ended?

Just a few minutes after this video surfaced, Brady dropped his latest hype video on social media. What a legend. Was he working on that thing from the damn boat? Grind don’t sleep, I guess.
