Classic: Gabby Showed up to Work and Chose Violence on This Agility Course

Let's relive Gabby absolutely shredding this agility course back in 2019.

So, this clip is making the rounds on Twitter, and honestly, it is a classic and deserves to go viral. But, you might not realize that Gabby going absolutely HAM on this agility course actually took place back two years ago. She hit this course like a rocket – a rocket with a mission. That course had no idea what hit it, and the result was Gabby taking home the 8″ division title at the 2019 Westminster Kennel Club Masters Agility Championship. She said “I don’t care about your little party, I came to WIN.” And, she did just that. Classic Gabby.

Y’all can stay sleepin’ on the Westminster Kennel Club, but I know from all the times it pre-empted Monday Night Raw on USA when I was a kid that this is peak sports. This is the upper echelon of competitive dog shows. What y’all just witnessed is the dog equivalent of what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Gabby woke up and chose violence, and you could tell from the jump. She was having trouble staying in place ’cause she wanted to murder this course so bad. And, when she finally hears the command to go, she GOES. She SCOOTS. She FLOATS. It honestly defies physics – I’m absolutely positive that that’s not true, but it felt right to say in the moment. Gabby is like the Chris Johnson in his prime of dogs.

Is it weird to be inspired by a dog? ‘Cause I’m feeling pretty inspired by this dog. Gabby doesn’t even follow the course correctly, but it doesn’t matter. She just keeps on hauling ass. I think there’s a life lesson in there, folks. We can learn something from this dog. Even when we mess up a little bit, we just gotta keep pushing through and we can still become champions. We aren’t complete and utter failures and Gabby can be a symbol for that.

Why did Andrea have to push Gabby so hard at the end, though? Is there some sort of pent up resentment there? Like, Andrea’s sittin’ there thinkin’ “yeah, let me run this course” or something. Andrea wishes she was a dog so she could get all that glory. I don’t know – anyway, as is the case with many a viral video, one of the highlights is the comments we get.
