Congrats to everyone involved with the film Paddington 2. You should feel proud because apparently you have created the greatest film of all time. This is my favorite saga of the week so far. Paddington squad, it is your time to square up and puff that chest out, ’cause you got a big time notch in the win column this week. In case you missed it, Paddington 2 has officially surpassed Citizen Kane as the top-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes. Apparently, “an 80-year old review made it slip from 100% to 99%” according to DiscussingFilm on Twitter.
The power of the internet, man – I tell ya. We can do anything here on Al Gore’s internet. We can revive GameStop, we can rename boats stupid names, we can revive the career of Leslie Jordan, we can turn a meme into a valuable cryptocurrency and make millions off of it. And, we can confidently, scientifically, and objectively say that Paddington 2 is now officially the greatest movie of all time. I’ll say it – I love 2021. Paddington himself took to Twitter to graciously accept this honor, and I can’t help but commend the bear for doing his own social media. In this era of divas and elitists, it’s nice to see a celebrity so grounded and in touch with their followers.
I do hope Mr Kane won’t be too upset when he hears I’ve overtaken him with rotten tomatoes.

This just raises the adorability of Paddington. I imagine this will only make the ratings go up for this franchise. What a humble response to an incredible honor. Think about that for a second – this bear just became the greatest movie of all time, and his primary concern is whether or not Mr. Kane is upset with him. Ultimate grace right here. Every single one of us could stand to learn a thing or two about class from Paddington.
I’ll leave you all today with the absolute best meme I’ve seen in a long time, one that made me howl like I haven’t howled in ages:
