It’s not often that I’m scouring the dark internet caves of Reddit and see my hometown of Mount Juliet, Tennessee pop up. So, I feel like any time that happens, I have to make sure it runs through the SoBros Network blogosphere. Thankfully, it’s for a good story today, and not like the time we found out about that crazy axe-wielding squatter that took over someone’s beautiful log cabin. That was wild, and kinda made me afraid to drive down Nonaville Road at night for a little bit. Nope – today’s story is some high quality wholesome content. See…these two Mount Juliet Police Department officers arrested a guy, only to find out that he was on his way to deliver some groceries. They leapt into action to make sure this lady’s ice cream got to her safe and secure.

Marissa Johnson applauded the officers on social media saying, “Thank you to these amazing officers! My mom ordered groceries online. The delivery driver got arrested. These amazing officers said, ‘we noticed you had ice cream, and it was melting, so we had to come bring it to you.’ Mt. Juliet Police, you are the best!”

This is just A++ crisis management. If melted ice cream shows up at that house, heads are going to roll. And, who says the police don’t know how to respond to crises? Now, I’m sure you’re expecting me to make some joke about innocent people getting shot somewhere along the way, but I would ask that you all please grow up. I would never. Not in our fair small town! Our police officer deliver ice cream, and pretty sure no one around here even owns a gun!

Anyway, dude’s brake lights were out, and when the cops pulled him over, they discovered he was wanted for stalking and harassment (men, amirite?!?!). But, my question is….what happened to this dude once they arrested him? They just leave him in the back of a car in the hot summer heat while they delivered his ice cream? Was he just left to wonder what the hell was going on? Or, did they bring him along too? That would’ve been the move if you ask me. Show up to the lady’s house with ice cream and a guy in handcuffs. “Here’s your ice cream, ma’am, and oh, by the way, we busted your drive on stalking and harassment charges!” Just doing the good work and fighting the good fight.
