Man, what is it with New York Giants head coach Joe Judge and fighting? How does this sort of stuff just gravitate to this man? I don’t know, but we’re talking about it again. This time, it’s his players that are going after each other, apparently in a “full-team brawl” to quote Ralph Vacchiano here. This whole thread is amazing:
Hard to see exactly what happened. RB Corey Clement took a big hit at the end of a run. TE Evan Engram retaliated and then he got popped by Logan Ryan.

Then everybody — and I mean everybody — jumped in.
Vacchiano goes on to add that Judge had the Giants players running from goal line to goal line and doing push-ups as punishment. Also, that he’s never seen anyone as angry as Judge was after the incident. And, yeah – I can’t say that I blame him. It’s not ideal to have your franchise quarterback, Daniel Jones, at the bottom of a dog pile in training camp with over a month to go before the season even starts. I mean, Giants fans….I know y’all have probably wanted to punch Jones in the face before, but like it or not, that’s the franchise right now. Whether you think he’s the longterm answer or not is irrelevant – dude is the “right now.” And, you have to protect the “right now” – not leave him on his ass at practice.
I can’t help but wonder what the mood is like at Giants training camp if everybody is so willing and eager to just jump in and start swingin’ on each other with the guy that is supposed to be the leader of your offense on his back under hundreds of pounds of dude. That just doesn’t sound like a healthy dynamic. Logan Ryan can be a feisty guy – I know that from his time with the Tennessee Titans. Apparently, he and tight end Evan Engram are at the center of this thing.

Evan Engram and Logan Ryan got into it pretty bad and everyone jumped in. Ryan said to Engram “where’s this passion during games, butter fingers”. Jones sprinted in and tripped on his own feet.
Oh, FML Daniel Jones – what are you doing? It’s like that Monday Night Football game all over again. Based on the sentiment I get from the Giants fans I know, there’s an awful lot of folks out there who feel that take on Engram in their soul. Dude is as physically gifted as they come at the tight end position, and just hasn’t been able to play up to it. So, I know people are frustrated with the guy. Ryan is already downplaying it, for what it’s worth. I still think this Giants squad has the talent to push for a wild card spot in the NFC. They won’t do that if they’re fighting each other, though.
