Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the wonderful summer fragrance, Moonlit Cove.
Man, Yankee Candle was ON ONE with their new summer line. Not only did I love Cliffside Sunrise, but Moonlit Cove instantly became one of my favorite summer fragrances of all time. It has a nice subtle Earthy sort of smell to it that pitches a change-up to the usual floral, fruity, and tropical tones of the summer scents. Yankee cites notes of lemongrass, ginger, and citrus in this one, and I’d say that’s pretty close to spot on. Ginger is such a unique and interesting scent to throw in a summer fragrance, but it really keeps this one smelling different. It’s like a combination of Bahama Breeze and Midsummer’s Night.
Personally, I think this is a great night time fragrance, and can really set the mood for your partner. I dare say Moonlit Cove is a natural aphrodisiac. You’ll be calling it Moonclit Cove in no time because of how riled up it gets you and your partner.
Recommended burning: You’ve just come in from a long sweaty day at the lake/beach. You light Moonlit Cove as you disrobe. By the time you’re out of the shower, rinsing off the last remnants of sand and suntan lotion, the fragrance has filled the air and you are ready to either do someone from behind or be done from behind. This last part is completely up to your preference.
