Honestly, I thought it would be a solid 2-4 months before we were able to stop in due to how busy it’s been. But today, while running some snow day errands, Brittany hit me with “maybe we just check…” And I’m so glad we did!
First off, I have a…hot take on Whataburger. I believe that sonic burgers and whataburger burgers taste a lot alike. And this is absolutely not a diss to either, because I enjoy both greatly!
We went inside because the drive thru was still a mad house. We placed our order which came out to over $26. Now, we knew we were going in to do some damage. So that total didn’t scare me at all. I ordered the honey butter chicken biscuit (for later) and a double cheese burger meal with a Dr. Pepper to drink. Our food was great – SO fresh. Everything tasted great…especially the SPICY KETCHUP. Possibly the single reason I was so excited for Whataburger to come to Nashville. Spicy ketchup anytime I want it. You can make your own at home, try different recipes, but it will never compare to the real deal.
All in all, we were able to reach the promised land ahead of schedule and the food was incredible, just as we expected. I wasn’t expecting it to be so fresh honestly. I tried to set my expectations a little lower due to it being so new, new staff, possible call offs due to weather, all of that fun stuff. But whoever is in charge at the Hermitage Whataburger is running a tight ship! The crew was friendly and efficient and to the surprise of no one, this will be far from my last trip there!
