Well, it would appear as though we have quite the melee on our hands from the Golden Corral. If you’ve never stepped foot in such an establishment, it’s incredibly difficult to explain the ambience. Lot of old people. Kids running around screaming. People just trying to consume their buffet food in peace and quiet without being noticed so that no one knows they go to the Golden Corral (not speaking from experience there or anything, of course). But, regardless of how many times I’ve been, I’ve never once felt like it was the type of place that could see grandiose violence. It’s a quiet, sad place. A very sad, sad place. I don’t think anyone feels good about themselves when they’re walking out that door eight pounds heavier than they were when they got there.
I mean, for goodness sake, the Golden Corral isn’t the Waffle House at 3AM. Right? RIGHT?!?!?! Or, are the times a changin’ yet again? Apparently, at this location, nothing is sacred – not even the golden rule of the Golden Corral.

Look, I know Golden Corral gets a bad rap, but if you’ve ever had the steak there, you know damn well it’s worth fighting for. It’s worth swinging a high chair over – it doesn’t even matter if there’s a child in it or not. Yes, in case I wasn’t clear enough, it is so good that you will momentarily forget that you can just go get more steak if someone takes it off your plate.
I don’t know what these people are fighting over, to be honest. Just…y’know….as a fan of Golden Corral, I’m going to assume it’s the steak. Trust me. I’m a Journalist – we can say stuff like that.
What I find to be particularly amazing about this video is just how invested the entire restaurant is in this saga. This is like a fight in the high school cafeteria. Everyone’s going to get up and stand around to see what’s happening. Not me – I would’ve been out that damn door in no time. But, these folks really took that massive ‘Gather ’round’ sign to heart.
This brawl at the Golden Corral looked like a damn ECW show from the Hammerstein Ballroom in 2001.
