In case you haven’t been paying attention to my coverage of the Senior Bowl and the 2022 NFL Draft, well…no hard feelings, first and foremost….but I have to tell you…one of my favorite prospects in this draft, specifically as a fit for the Tennessee Titans, is former UT-Chattanooga offensive lineman, Cole Strange. This dude is a punisher – a versatile offensive lineman that has experience playing guard, tackle, or center. He’s a finisher with a hell of a punch and an ability to stonewall his guy. But, I think my favorite thing about his game that stands out from the moment you start watching him is his desire to get out in front of a play, and just get to the second level and look for somebody to block.
Strange played center at the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl down in Mobile, Alabama and excelled at it. He is as competitive as they come, and has that drive and mindset to constantly seek improvement. Given how the Titans could use some depth along the offensive line and need to start thinking about the future of their center and left guard position, Strange looks like an ideal candidate to don the two-tone blue in the pros. He was nice enough to give me about 20 minutes of his time earlier this week to hop on and talk about his game, what that UTC program has meant to him, the Senior Bowl, where he thinks he’ll play in the NFL, and how he responds when a play doesn’t exactly go according to plan.
