Spring is in the air here in middle Tennessee, folks. We just celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a little corned beef and cabbage. We have Yankee Candle’s fabled springtime fragrance, Hydrangea, burning. The windows are open, and we are enjoying a breeze. At least for now, life is good, baby.
Will we get one more random dusting of snow? Sure. Is it still going to get cold enough to kill your plants? Sure. But, for the time being, here in this moment, we’re toasting to the warmth and renewal of spring’s arrival. On a brand new episode of the SoBros Power Hour, Steven McCash joins me to talk March Madness, seeing Wet Leg at The Basement East, the NWA’s Crockett Cup, and all of the Deshaun Watson rumors.
Then, we get into our Nashville stories of the week – talkin’ Ernest Tubb Record Shop, the 2022 James Beard Award Finalists, smoking in bars, John Calipari buying a house in Nashville, and the bomb threat at the Katt Williams show (we still can’t account for notorious Katt Williams hater, Brandon Vick’s whereabouts that night). We broaden our scope then to talk about stories from around the country, including waking up in a random house that you thought was your AirBnB, giant K-Mart signs in front yards, and Old Bay vodka. This one’s a hoot.
