Do you think we’ll ever get another show as good and unique as True Detective?

Answer:
To this day, I still say the first season of True Detective is the greatest television series of my lifetime. What made it resonate so strongly with me was not only the winding plot and feeling like we were in on the investigation week in and week out, but the cinematography, the performances, and the music…it all combined to make this really interesting complementary series. With the right ingredients, sure – we absolutely could get something like that again. It’s hard to believe that it’s been eight years since that first season came out, but here we are.

Oh, this is a fun one. I’m glad you asked. First of all, let me just say that I was dead wrong about Tik Tok. I put off joining for the longest time. But, I was finally convinced to join and now it is my favorite way to kill time and decompress. Something about the format of it is just mindless and fun. I do follow what feels like a million different accounts that just share clips from Trailer Park Boys, The Office, and Family Feud. But, I put together a list of some of my personal faves as well:
@sidetalknyc – BING BONG FUCK YA LIFE
@emilyzugay – I get that the humor might not be for everyone, but it is right up my alley.
@tinymeatgang – guys being dudes….my favorite kinda dumb shit. Love their podcast.
@stalekracker – Cajun cookin’ is some of the best cookin’
@goodmorningbadnews – I’d say this one’s probably only for fellow libs like myself, but I enjoy the quick digestible takes.
@findingnimesh – the official account of Nimesh Patel, one of my favorite comedians in the game today. Saw him at Zanies back in June, and look forward to seeing him again when he comes back.
@donnydust – I love learning how to do caveman shit.
@oldtimehawkey – Just a dude and his dog living in the woods up in Michigan, taking me on calming hikes, trips into the past with his VCR and N64, and cooking up some comfort food over a campfire. Love it.
@peteyusa – In my opinion, the greatest Tik Toker alive today. I do have a rather surreal sense of humor, and Petey hits the spot every time.
