Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter, email ’em to me anonymously at thesobrosnetwork@gmail.com. And, holy shit, I need to update this terrible intro paragraph that I’ve been using literally ever since I started writing this column…

Question, from Tyler on Instagram, in reference to Ja Morant scoring 47 points on Tuesday night:

Is that good?

Answer:

I’m going to go out on a limb and say yes, that is indeed good. But, maybe not for Warriors fans. The only other two guys to have multiple 45-point playoff games before the age of 23 were named LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. I’d say that’s some pretty damn good company.

Question:

Answer:

Tyler also asked me a Moon Knight question, but it could be a bit spoilery (if you know, you know), so I’m not going to share it here – I’ll just say that I’m going to answer Tyler’s question along with Brett’s here.

I loved Moon Knight. It was probably my favorite of the Disney+ shows so far. I loved that it was isolated from the rest of the MCU. They focused on introducing a new character and really diving into the character development. Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke were fantastic, and you could really tell that Isaac went all in on this project. It wouldn’t have been the same without him. I understand why some people say they wanted more action, but that didn’t bother me. I’m more about the story, so I felt the payoff was worth it.

And, yeah – that mid-credits scene after the finale was something else. I don’t know how far they’re going to go with that particular issue, but the season did well to establish the Moon Knight character. Now, the sky’s the limit with where they can go next. I can’t imagine there won’t be a second season, but I’ve also seen rumblings that they’re going to do a Moon Knight movie. Either way, I can’t wait. And, yes – I think we’re eventually going to get to some of the Dracula stuff, though I imagine it’ll end up being some amalgamation of characters as I don’t know if Marvel can flat out say “hey, this is literally Dracula” for trademark purposes.

Question:

Answer:

Man, I’m all in. I am so curious and excited to see what he comes up with. As our very Brittany Fernandez pointed out in the SoBros Slack, he’s shooting for a two hour show with storylines based in reality and men and women getting equal screen time. I don’t remember much from his time writing for Monday Night Raw, but this man is a LIFELONG wrestling fan. I can’t wait.

Question:

Answer:

Man, I am going burgers, brats, and BBQ chicken – the quintessential summertime cookout. It’s almost here, too. We only have three weeks until Memorial Day marks the official unofficial kickoff to the summer time. As for the sides, I’m a fan of the classics as well – cole slaw, (crinkle cut) french fries, and baked beans. LFG. Though, I will say that grilled veggies make for an underrated BBQ side. Get some zucchini, squash, onion, and mushrooms…wrap ’em in some aluminum foil and toss ’em on the grill. That’s good shit. Call me old-fashioned with the rest of my BBQ menu, I guess.
