Klay Thompson Almost Ate Sh*t and Shoulder Blocked Someone

Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors may have been having a little too much fun at the championship parade.

It’s a good time to be a fan of the Golden State Warriors, that’s for sure. However, it might NOT be a good time to be a fan of the Golden State Warriors that also happens to be at the championship parade and in the crossfire of one Klay Thompson. That’s right – fresh off the heels of another run at the NBA Finals, Warriors fans and players hit the streets to celebrate, which was all well and good except for this one unlucky Warriors fan who just happened to be in the way of a stumbling Thompson and ate a truck stick because of it.

Did….did that security guard trip him? Is that security guard a Memphis Grizzlies fan? Someone needs to check up on that. I’m a diehard Grizz fan and even I think that’s unacceptable. I mean, we obviously don’t know that that security guard tripped him, but coincidentally, Thompson started going down around the same time that security guard showed up in frame. I’m just saying, folks….that’s all.

Just imagine this for a minute. Your favorite basketball team – the Golden State Warriors – just won the NBA Championship. It’s their 4th one since 2015. A bona fide dynasty. The weather’s nice. The vibes are right. You’re just strolling along at the championship parade. Then, all of a sudden, you just get bodied by someone. The next thing you know, you’re on your back looking up. And, who is it that you see trying to help you up because he feels bad for shoulder blocking? None other than Klay Thompson…one of the splashiest players in NBA history, and a guy that helped secure another trophy for the Bay. Unreal.

If I’m that fan, I’m probably wondering what the hell drugs I’m on. That feels like a scene from a movie or something. I wouldn’t know what to think. Once I came to, I’d definitely be lobbying for some free season tickets or something. You gotta sell that a bit better, if you ask me. I’m going to be showing up the next time my friends see me with a neck brace on. I’m going to be begging for an ambulance. The whole nine yards. You have to milk these opportunities as they arise.

I don’t quite know how I feel about the NBA season just yet. On one hand, I can appreciate greatness, and what the Warriors did was admittedly pretty impressive (even though it pains me to say that as a Grizz fan). On the other, the NBA Finals weren’t really that close. No buzzer beaters. No tight games late. What started as a pretty entertaining postseason fizzled out under the biggest spotlight. Don’t get me wrong – I don’t think that’s necessarily good or bad. I’m just curious as to how history will remember this championship series as you didn’t have the epic games you had last year with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns. But, maybe that’s just me. One thing of which I am a hundred percent certain of how I feel is that someone needs to get that security guard in check.
