Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the natural and Earthy fragrance, Fresh Mint.
Folks, we are in the dog days of summer, and I don’t know about y’all, but I’m already counting down the days until fall. The heat is downright oppressive here in Nashville, Tennessee, with “feels like” temperatures getting up to 113 degrees because of this stupid humidity. It has made me resent the summer time – I’m over all of the coconut smells, the beach smells, the fruity smells….all of it can, pardon my French, kiss my butt cheeks. So, where do I turn when it’s too early for a fall fragrance, but I’m over the typical summer smells? You guessed it – Fresh Mint.
Fresh Mint is the ace up my sleeve in the summer time. I love it because it’s so straightforward and fresh. It’s not floral like a spring fresh, and it’s not dead like a fall fresh. It’s the perfect change of pace for the summer time, especially if you’re like me….a fan of how the floor of a forest smells. The straightforward mint fragrance will also clear out your sinuses, helping to prevent you from getting any summer time colds. I shouldn’t say that. I don’t know that, and I don’t want to get Yankee Candle in trouble with the FDA.
Recommended burning: On a summer evening when you’re tempted to roll around in poison ivy because the underbelly of the forest smells so refreshing but you don’t want to actually become covered in poison ivy because the last time you did you got poison ivy on your balls and no one wants that to happen.
