Recently, I got together with Brittany and Jesse to try a bunch of new pumpkin spiced stuff that I’ve never tried before. We dubbed it the 2022 SoBros Network Fall Feast, and while we tried a lot of good stuff, I drove home that night thinking, “well, what are the best fall snacks?” Since I am a writer that writes things, I figured this would be the perfect question to explore in the latest set of Power Rankings here on SoBros Network. But, before I dig into my top 10, I’d like to say R.I.P. to the greatest fall snacks of all time that are now discontinued – the pumpkin spice Hershey Kisses and the candy corn Hershey Kisses. I looked forward to getting a bag of each at the beginning of every season, but I guess they don’t make them anymore. It’s a sad realization, but we’re not here to be sad. We’re here to celebrate the pumpkin. Onto the list.

Power Ranking Fall Snacks

10. Pumpkin spiced Twinkies – I’m not a big Twinkies guy, but I have to admit, going the route of making the cream pumpkin and not the cake itself was a commendable choice. It makes the pumpkin Twinkies a little more subtle than overbearing, and it made for a delightful snack.

9. Pumpkin spiced hot sauce – Okay, so I know you can’t technically make a snack out of JUST hot sauce, and I know pumpkin spiced hot sauce sounds kind of gross. But, it works, folks. I am here to tell you. If you can pick some up, put a few dashes in your fall chili, or toss some wings in it. It’s so good.

8. Pumpkin pie Kit Kat – This is actually the only time of the year that I’ll eat Kit Kats. Otherwise, I think they are a mid chocolate snack at best, and I don’t even really like chocolate all that much anyway. But, these things get me every time I see them on a shelf somewhere.

7. Pepperidge Farm’s pumpkin cheesecake cookies – Easily the most decadent item on this list. I’m a huge cheesecake guy, so when you start combining these rich flavors, you’re going to have my support. I can eat an entire bag, and sit there with a massive tummy ache, before I even know it.

6. Pumpkin spiced ramen – It works. Judge me if you wish, but watch the video below and tell me it doesn’t seem like this works. We all agreed it’s a nice savory fall snack. The pumpkin is a little more subtle, and it doesn’t overpower the dish. I don’t think I could do too many of these things, but once or twice a season, I think I’m game. The surprise of the year so far.

5. Pumpkin spiced Little Bites – I love a good moist muffin (that’s what she said). Little Bites are already the best in the game when it comes to bagged muffins, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that they nailed the pumpkin flavor too.

4. Werther’s caramel apple soft caramels – I still haven’t tried the maple flavor, but I’ll tell you what, if you love the good creamy, caramel-y, toffee-y taste of a Werther’s Original, but hate it in hard candy form, these soft caramels just may be the treat for you. Nobody does fall like Werther’s Original and they never get the credit they deserve for it. There for awhile, “caramel apple” was trying to become like “pumpkin spice.” You’d see caramel apple, pumpkin, and candy corn flavored stuff left and right – I guess it didn’t sell that well because it seems a little less common these days, but the last man standing is the caramel apple Werther’s Original. Why? Because it RULES!

3. Pumpkin Delights – Nothing beats a good baked treat at this time of year, and the Pumpkin Delight from Little Debbie is the GOAT of this shit.

2. Candy corn/mellowcreme pumpkins – You can call me an old man all you want. I embrace it. I love rum raisin ice cream. I love Werther’s Originals. I love those little peanut butter candies that come in the black and orange wrapper at Halloween. And, I LOVE the good old fashioned candy corn and a mellowcreme pumpkin. I will not apologize for it.

1. Werther’s Pumpkin spice soft caramels – We’ve already established my love for Werther’s Originals. I won’t put you guys through that again. But, to me, nothing says fall like a little pumpkin spiced Werther’s Originals. Perfectly captures the season in a soft caramel.
