Colts at Titans: Week 7 Spread & DFS Gambling Preview (2022)
Introduction
The Titans (3-2) are coming off a bye week following three straight wins with one of them coming at Indianapolis in Week 4. Running back Derrick Henry has had at least 20 carries in four of his five games with the only exception coming in a 41-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The offense is more dependent on him than ever before because the passing game continues to adjust without A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. First round wide receiver Treylon Burks was moved to the injured reserve while Robert Woods continues to adjust to his new team.
The Colts (3-2-1) have won three of their last four games. They won their last two games despite not having superstar running back Jonathan Taylor. Both Taylor and Nyheim Hines are expected to return for Week 7. Quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown for more than 350 yards in two of his last three games. He has a chance to extend that to three out of four as his tight ends and No. 2 outside wide receiver have positive matchups.

Colts at Titans: Best Bet, DFS Picks
First Half Spread: Titans -0.5 at -115
Tennessee has played far better in the first half than the second half. They’ve led at halftime in four of their first five games but have been outscored in the second half 71-14. The trends suggest that you should focus on first half betting.
Alec Pierce
As mentioned, Molden probably isn’t returning to the cornerback rotation. This means that Caleb Farley and Terrance Mitchell will likely see a lot of snaps at left cornerback. In two of the last three games, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Mack Hollins and Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown had career days playing away from Kristian Fulton.
Pierce, the No. 53 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, should see the majority of his snaps against Farley and Mitchell. Pierce has broken out the past few games including a Week 4 performance against the same team that included four catches for 80 yards. With Ashton Dulin moved to injured reserve, Pierce’s snap share should keep increasing. Since the Week 4 matchup, Pierce’s snap share has increased from 44 percent to 65 percent. With Tennessee likely focused on stopping the Indianapolis tight ends in this showdown (11 receptions on 11 targets for 180 yards and two touchdowns in Week 4), Pierce has a great chance to put up 20+.
Derrick Henry
Duh.
Colts at Titans: Final Thoughts (Keys to Victory)
There isn’t much to say here because these teams just played in Week 4. Since then, the Colts have won two games while the Titans won one and had a bye week. The Titans should win this game but their second half struggles will always make them vulnerable to letting games slip away. They should definitely own the first half though.
