Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the quintessential fall fragrance, Fall Festival.
It’s hard to believe that we’re already thinking about our fall transition candles here on Yankee Candle Reviews. I know, I know, folks – time flies. You guys know by now that I like to start my fall off with the Earthy “dead leaves” types of fragrances before switching into the homey, cozy, warm fragrances for fall. Well, here at the end of October, we are right in that sweet spot where anything goes. And, there’s no better blend of both worlds than Fall Festival
It is just enough Earthy and harvest-y that it doesn’t smell like your kitchen after you’ve baked a beautiful pumpkin pie. But, it’s also not so warm and inviting that it smells like Thanksgiving dinner. It’s a fragrance that, I dare say, is almost as old as time itself. The natural splendor of autumn is capture in Fall Festival – a little bit fruity, a little bit pumpkin-y, and loaded with the cinnamon nutmeg fall spice that we all love this time of year. It finishes with the gentlest little kiss of sweetness…much like I do after a couple gin and tonics on a Friday night.
Recommended burning: You’ve just worked up the slightest sweat across your brow raking leaves in the backyard. The slightest chill fills the breeze and you gently shiver. Your lover comes out on the back deck completely nude, holding a hot mug of apple cider. He/she invites you inside for some intense lovemaking by candle light. They’ve even brought a little slice of pumpkin pie for you to rub over each other’s nude bodies. Maybe a little food play – who knows where this cozy fall night will take you?
