Jaguars at Titans: Week 14 Spread & DFS Gambling Preview (2022)
Introduction
The Titans (7-5) enter Week 14 with a three-game lead in the AFC South and just five remaining games. They’ll try to end a two-game losing streak following a 35-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. With injuries piling up and any hope for the No. 1 seed lost, Tennessee will try to clinch the division as soon as possible so they can rest players before an inevitable wildcard home playoff game.
The Jaguars (4-8) are coming off a 40-14 road loss to the Detroit Lions. A win here would keep their extremely slim playoff hopes alive. Starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence is questionable with a toe injury but is expected to play.

Jaguars at Titans: Best Bet, DFS Picks
Jaguars UNDER -18.5 at -110
I’m not saying that it’s impossible for Jacksonville to go over on this. In their last eight games, Jacksonville has gone over 18.5 three times. My feeling is that Jacksonville’s scoring possibilities are anywhere between 0-20. There are far more scenarios where this goes under than over. We’re talking about a Titans defense that held both Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow to 20 points. A Jaguars offense with an injured Lawrence shouldn’t have much success here. Both teams should attempt to control the clock as the running backs are the centerpieces of the offenses.
Derrick Henry
Henry has some of his biggest games against this AFC South foe. In one game against them last year, Henry had 29 carries for 130 yards and three touchdowns. As Jacksonville doesn’t have an offense that will force Tennessee away from the ground game (and that’s even more true if Lawrence doesn’t play), Henry should return to a workload with a minimum of 20-25 touches.
Jaguars at Titans: Final Thoughts (Keys to Victory)
How will Tennessee respond after a midweek firing of their general manager in the midst of a playoff race? It’s hard to guess where the team mindset is after its 35-10 loss. Recent history suggests that Tennessee shouldn’t have much difficulty here especially if Lawrence doesn’t play.
Since 2017, Tennessee has won nine of the last 10 meetings including five in a row. Of those five games, Tennessee won four of them by at least 18 points. Despite the recent losses and controversy, I don’t see this trend changing.
