Podcast: Phone It In on Dark Matter

Rooster and Stoney take a stab at the mind-bending topic of dark matter on the latest episode of Phone It In!

The entirety of human existence is a mind-boggling mystery in its own right. The fact that things exist outside our realm of understanding…quite literally outside of our abilities of detection and perception, is enough to, quite frankly, put my brain in a fucking pretzel. That’s where I’m at with dark matter, and it’s a theme that pops up a few times on the most recent episode of Phone It In, on which Rooster and I offer up an introduction to the topic.

Dark matter is one of those things we’re pretty sure exists but can’t confirm it and don’t even know what it is. It’s like when you’re a kid and you ask “why?” Your parents respond with “because I said so,” and you just accept that. That’s dark matter – we don’t know why…we just accept that it is. Nonetheless, as she’s prone to do, Rooster lays it out clearly for us, and the topic of dark matter expands into dark energy (there’s a joke in there somewhere). Eventually, we’re both questioning whether or not we’re living in the synapse of a giant while also simultaneously containing a multiverse of universes within ourselves. Get stoned for this one, because it is undoubtedly the most mind-bending episode we’ve ever done.
