Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation
Tennessee’s favorite daughter, Miley Cyrus, is back with her 10th studio album Endless Summer Vacation. It’s crazy to believe that it has been 16 years since we first met Miley on her debut Meet Miley Cyrus and the even crazier public journey she has taken all of us during that time. The very public on and off love affair with Liam Hemsworth, the even more public drug use and the even more shocking on-and-off camera behavior she displayed while trying to erase the Hannah Montana image the world had of her are some of the twists and turns the public has witnessed in the last decade while following Miley.
Despite all of the turmoil during this time, the one constant that never wavered was the music. Cyrus’ musical talent can never be questioned as she has one of the most unique and powerful voices in modern pop music. She can shout to the heavens one moment on “7 Things” on Breakout and then deliver a heart wrenching softly sung ballad on “Never Be Me” on 2020’s Plastic Hearts.
Endless Summer Vacation proves that the 30 year-old has reached a point in her career where she truly feels at peace with herself. The lead single “Flowers” finds the Tennessee native growing from her divorce from Hemsworth and being able to truly embrace herself. “Flowers” is Cyrus’ first number one song in a decade when “Wrecking Ball” ruled the charts in 2013.
2023 finds Miley the strongest and most confident she’s ever been, with the music and imagery of Endless Summer Vacation serving as a reflection of the strength she’s found in focusing on both her physical and mental well-being. Recorded in Los Angeles and produced with Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin, Mike WiLL Made-It and Tyler Johnson, Miley describes the album as her love letter to LA.
If the release of a new album isn’t enough for Miley fans they can watch her sing some of the songs off of the new albumon her Disney+ special Miley Cyrus – Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Vacation) Friday at noon Central. She will be performing “Flowers” plus seven additional tracks from the album including a special performance with Rufus Wainwright.
