It’s been since January of 2022 that Johnathan Boren and Ryan Watson graced us with an episode of Coaches Corner. So, it was nice to catch up with both dudes for last week’s episode of The Unofficial Titans Podcast. And, I didn’t even have to interrupt a date night on a Friday night to tune in! With free agency looming and given that the 2023 NFL Draft will be here before you know it, I wanted to pick Johnathan’s and Ryan’s brains about the state of the Tennessee Titans roster (strictly from a personnel standpoint), ask how they’d handle certain positions, and go through some guys in this upcoming draft class that look like fits and problem-solvers for this team. In this episode, we discuss:
- Trading Derrick Henry and/or Ryan Tannehill
- This year’s quarterback class in the draft
- Approach to fixing the offensive line – is anybody safe? Or, are we blowing the whole thing up?
- Addressing wide receiver through the draft
- Whether or not linebacker could be a sneaky need for the team, and if capable guys will be there in the mid-to-late rounds of the draft
- Mike Vrabel wanting fast, versatile, and violent players – who in this draft class fits the bill?
- If the Titans can become a contender again in just one offseason’s worth of moves
